What this service covers

House sitting keeps your pet in the home it already knows: the sitter stays over, keeps the feeding and walking routine, and looks after the house while you are away. It suits pets that travel badly, older animals, and households with more than one pet.

How booking works

  1. 1

    Browse local sitters

Filter the catalogue by this service, your dates and your city, and compare profiles, rates and reviews.

  2. 2

    Message before you book

Ask about the routine, the schedule and anything specific to your pet. Messages stay in the booking, so both sides keep the same instructions.

  3. 3

    Agree the schedule

Send a request with the dates and times you need. The sitter confirms, and each visit keeps its own slot in their calendar.

What it costs

No sitter has published a rate for this service yet. Prices appear here as soon as one does.

Payment for the service happens directly between the owner and the provider. Petlify does not process pet-care payments and does not provide payment protection at this stage.

Frequently asked questions

Does the sitter stay overnight?
Yes — house sitting is an overnight service. Agree in the booking messages which nights the sitter is expected to be at the house and what time they arrive and leave.
What about the house itself?
Sitters commonly take in post, water plants and keep the place looking lived-in. Anything beyond pet care is between you and the sitter — put it in writing in the booking so it is not a surprise.
How is payment handled?
Petlify does not process payments for care services. The price shown is a quote calculated from the sitter’s own rates; you and the sitter agree how to settle it directly.
