Frequent questions

Quick answers to the most common ones. Full list — in the FAQ section.

How do I know I can trust a sitter with my pet?

Open the profile: it shows the services and rates the sitter set, their experience, reviews left after completed bookings, and which verification checks they passed and when. Message them before you book — that conversation, and the trust & safety page, say what a badge on its own cannot.

What should I settle before the first booking?

Most sitters agree to meet first. Use the chat to settle feeding, walks, medication and what happens in an emergency, and write your pet’s habits into its profile — the details written down are the ones both sides can check later.

What if something goes wrong during a booking?

Write to the sitter first; the conversation stays attached to the booking. If the problem is the person, the report button on their profile or in the chat sends it to a Petlify operator, who reads it and records a decision. Petlify is not an emergency or veterinary service — for a health emergency, call a vet first.

Which services can I book?

Boarding at the sitter’s home, house sitting at yours, drop-in visits, dog walking, doggy day care and training sessions. Each sitter chooses which of them to offer, sets the price, and states which pet sizes they accept.
